Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

Th eheat here is crazy! I have to wipe my face every 2 minutes because it gets covered in sweat!
Who else is having a horrible, hot, summer? Bluerrrrgh.
*wipes face*

I stay inside

Thats the only way to beat the heat lol. Its always hot in Texas, so you kinda get used to it. Specially with the humidity it makes it worse.
Wed Jul 20, 2005 3:09 am
Moi. One can just sit on his or her computer chair and end up sweating a while later. The bright sun shining through the window is hurting my eyes -_-
Bah. I don't want to go out >_<

And the Lord said unto the inventors, "LET THERE BE THAT WHICH CONDITIONS THE AIR!"
And the inventors took the Lord's word and made it so.
And the Lord plugged in the Conditioner of the Air and felt that it was good.

Anyways, enough nonsense. It's been pretty hot here too. But only up into the 90s. I feel for those people down in the Arizona(ish) area where it got up near 120.

Ohh...Its horrible, it doesn't even cool down in the night time.

Aww...dang. Do you have a fan? Air circulation helps...a little.

Ok, you are all invited to my house. We have central A/C. I would not live without it.
Here in Chicago, it isn't too hot (however, it was 97 last Sunday) but horribly dry. No rain in over a month. Driest summer in 143 years. If you walk barefoot on the grass, it hurts!!!! Everything is brown. My poor little basil plants are crying.
Next weekend, it is supposed to hit over 100. Which we don't get too often in Chicago. Last time was over 6 years ago.
That big dumb lake is not letting us get our rain. It has been raining cats and dogs in Indiana--to the south and east of us, then when it gets to Lake Michigan, the storm dies out over the lake and we get zilch!! Oh well, at least no mosquitoes around to give us West Nile virus. And, virtually no humidity.
But, the lack of rain is making everyone around here cranky.

Pah. Imagine ironing clothes in the kitchen where there is no air-conditioning.
That's what I'm going to do. ._.
I wish it would rain here; at least the weather would cool down a little, but noooo it's far too sunny >(

Me! I live in vegas and yesterday, it reached 134 degrees, according to my car's thermometer.
Luckily, my family has a nice cool pool, and a strong AC.

it's pretty hot in texas, but it's no vegas.
vegas kills.
dallas weather is good in the winter, because it's not cold, it's just nice out.
the summers are reaaaaly bad though.

When you're all about to faint from heat stroke, just think of me, walking around with numerous layers and multiple scarves on because of the freezing cold weather.
But seriously, summer gets pretty bad here too, some tips for those without air-con (like myself)
-fans are essential
-pools are essential
-drink lots and eat ice whenever possible
-close the windows during the day, open them during the night when its a little cooler
-don't cook much in the oven, or iron, or do other hot things
-if your bedroom's upstairs drag a mattress downstairs or sleep on the couch
I usually quite enjoy summer, except when trying to sleep when its boiling hot, my whole family ends up sleeping in the middle of the living/dining room which is the biggest and coolest room of the house.

It's not that bad here in NorCal, because it gets up to like 90F-ish, but there's practically zero humidity, so it's survivable. I just don't like getting into my car. =(
We haven't any air conditioning inside either. *goes to live with Morningstar*

Not temperature wise, but it's hammering home to me the fact that I don't know if I can live another 2 years in this place without going severely off the rails.
Wed Jul 20, 2005 10:03 am
Summertime in Israel is murder. Tempertures are well over 100 here, and humidity is up to 80%.
Thankfully I have my own AC... But on those days I have to work outside at the theme park... x____x
