Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

Well, I thought this was pretty interesting. Yahoo has introduced a new Audio Search, where you can search for music, podcasts, or other audio (interviews, etc.).
It's still in beta- and certainly no where near perfect. Still, an interesting concept- and if improved, could be very helpful.

That's cool. I finally found a bunch of Ani DiFranco songs I can't find on LimeWire. Yay!
But, yeah. It could use some work.

It's just a bit advertisement for the online music companies, and it still couldn't find the song I'm looking for.

Heh, that's funny. Yahoo! has managed to come out with a feature before Google has. That's like, what, Google: 10,000 and Yahoo!: 5 ?
It is pretty cool though, but you know that Google will probablt come out with their own version in a week or two.

Or maybe not at all.
Things like this only cause problems because they are another way of easily downloading MP3s for free. Whereas it is not illegal here what Yahoo, Kazaa, Limewire and other programs are doing, I'm sure some people will try to sue if thise comes out of beta.

I'll stick with singingfish.com, thank you. :)

Hmm...interesting...?
At least I learned from it that MSN music has Powder Blue by Barenaked Ladies. I've been looking for that one forever. Now I just need to get my parents to let me pay to download it...

Have you tried the search? It gives results from online music stores and displays prices as well as free ones.

It is a bit of an advertisement since most of the links bring you to places to purchase mp3s...but hopefully it'll get better. Now all we need is a google audio search. *pokes google*

Wow. Limewire's pretty great for Ani DiFranco.
Well, when it's not in need of more sources. Bah.

I finally found one-eyed one-horned flying purple people eater! For free!

Yeah, altavista had that for ever. it's pretty useful. i'm waiting for googles take on it
Thu Aug 11, 2005 1:33 pm
I don't think Google will try it. You see, if Google did it, it might actually be good, and if it were good, someone would sue Google, putting a tarnish on its shiny silver reputation. Or something.
Anyway, Matchbow's right. Altavista's had this forever, and they've had it with only free songs, but even theirs isn't great. I prefer other sources of free online music.

Dogpile and SingingFish did it first! And possibly better =P
