We, recently got a mouse from the barn where Horo keeps her horse, he was a wild mouse and we're not sure if he is eating his food or just dumping it around, we were wondering if you could help us with anything, special foods or something. Also we think he might be hurt, he runs around for a little bit but then gets really tired, as if it hurts him to run.
Thanks for any help that you can give
One more thing, we're calling him Satoshi because we think with how small he is he might get used to us, He is barely an inch in height sitting

depending on the species, you may have to release the thing, was rather upset when an RSPCA guy told me not to kill the field mouse that had climbed up the wall and accosted me.
endangered species or summat.
but i digress, Wild animals arent pets, short of the inumberable diseases that it may carry, they dont have a good temprament either, and theres probably a law against keeping it.
and now, back to startrek DS9. mmmm 'sacrafice of angels'

The best thing you can do for it, is to let it go or take it to some sort of animal rescue. As already stated, wild animals aren't pets. And unfortunately things like mice can carry quite a few diseases. If you think it is in distress (which could easily be caused by it being in captivity), then I suggest giving it up to a wild animal rescue.
If it's just a mouse-mouse... like a deer mouse, or a field mouse, toss it off into the brush and let it go. You don't know if it's old or young, where it's been, or what it's been doing.
The best things with wild creatures are to let them alone.

We know that we will need to release him, but right now we have him because we were told that he was hurt and are trying to take care of him, we will also try to find animal rescue people who are near us, we want to be able to help because we believe that if he is hurt it was due to unnatural circumstances, the name was basically because we needed something to call him while we do have him

Try checking Google Local.
I hope you can find a place to take him to and he survives. If the first place won't take him, keep looking. I'll pray for him/you and your family. :)

Okay, I'm not trying to be rude, but if he's hurt, you seriously need to take him somewhere. Like, in the next few days. If you don't know what to feed it or do with it, it's likely you don't know how to take care of the injuries. Find a place that does.

Mice will eat anything.
First, find a vet or pet rescue shelter. Then, find some grain at your local store. Put the grain, and some water, in whatever container you're storing the mouse in.

Bangel, your right we do need to take him somewhere, as I said we are holding on to him until we can find a place

The best thing you can do for him is nothing.
Put him back in the barn, let nature run its course.

I didn't have time to post this till now, we are going to release him as soon as we get chance, we no longer need any help, the barn has a cat and it turned out that he was faking being hurt, probably so that someone would take him away fromn the cat, we no longer need any help

Locked on request, but will unlock if need be. Good luck with the mouse, that was the best route to take.
