Unless this is just a UK thing...you can get Gs? :o

In America, that would probably mean that you REALLY failed.

:) I'm starting my GCSE's this year *tear* but thought I should say well done to everyone. I hope things go well for you all, and you get to do what you want.

You can get A*, A, B, C, D, E, F, G or U. U means you've really failed. And no, G is not impressive. Minimum requirements ask for a C in English, Maths and Science most of the time. You can make the rough assumption that A* is 90% and above, A 80%, B 70%, C 60%, D 50%, E 40%, F 30%, G 20% and U less than 20%. Actual grade boundaries vary from subject to subject and year to year.

Thanks for making me feel better DMie and Lillie. :P

Nah. I hated Graphics, I don't care. I didn't really even try.

Oh God, I'm so sorry. My eyes weren't focusing and I thought it was another grade. >.<

Er, over here anyway, A* boundaries can vary wildly.

In Art you need like 96 %

In History you need around 76 % for your A*

Well done everyone! Igg, I wouldn't worry too much about the B in Drama, I reckon it's all personal opinion of the examinor. You still rocked in everything else clever clogs!

No, I'm not worried about that, it's the latin, I really thought I could do better. :P

Lillie did the same as me, but only one B. Go her!

I did okay in mine; 5 A's, 4 B's and a C. I was capable of more but I was lazy. Same as this year for my AS's. I just gave up. Bring on college!! Whoo hoo! :D

Sat Aug 27, 2005 1:27 pm

I was thinking you weren't fussed about your AS's anyway.

Good luck with starting college soon :)
