Welcome to Stange and Weird Polls, where every Saturday we ask you the PPTiers a new question, but it ain't no regular question, it's stange and/or wierd!!
Last week I asked you Which is the best part of a chicken piece, skin or meat? , here are the Results:
Meat
64% [ 29 ]
Skin
35% [ 16 ]
Total Votes : 45
This week I going to take a poll question I asked at the PPT Guys Usergroup Forum and I'm gonna modify it for this week's poll.
Do you or did you like the opsite gender's toys better then the toys that your gender are suppose to play with? (EX: girls like toy cars better then barbie, visa versa).
New Feature: Do you have a weird or stange poll question that you'd like to see here, just pm me and I bet we can see it really soon.
I, my friends, vote for no, giving it the early lead. I did play with Barbie a tiny bit, but my action figures and toys dominated...
SaphEdit: I hope you don't mind, I altered your spelling just slightly (from "wierd" to "weird"). It's not something I normally do, but it was just driving me up the wall a little bit.
^ thanks

I'm not answering this question. I find it so annoying when kids are "supposed" to play with certain toys. I get so smurfed when I have to buy a happy meal for my little cousin and they ask if I want the "boy" or "girl" toy. I mean, come on, not all guys will want a Hot Wheels car, just like not all girls want a Barbie!

I agree... though I don't even remember what kind of toys I played with. I remember tearing apart my sister's Barbie dolls, but other than that, I really don't remember.

Well Mark, if a girl requested the boy happy meal, or vice versa, I doubt they'd be denied. Whether it's right or politically correct or not, society says boys play with trucks and girls play with dolls. I think it's stupid too, but I doubt it's going to change anytime soon.
I did play with Barbies a lot growing up, but I also liked cars and stuff, I just didn't play with them as much. It may be due to a ratio problem. I had two older sisters and one older brother, so the "girly" toys tended to dominate the house.
As I got older, I started wanting more functional toys, for lack of a better word. Things like little kits to make things. I did get girl type things, like beading and jewelry making kits. But I also got the more boy-oriented ones, like a kit to make creepy-crawly looking candy (the one that tasted the best was supposed to be monster skin or something).
I never had an easy-bake oven, but does anyone remember the boy-friendly counterpart? It was this like, little oven thing that you could make little rubber bug toys in. I wanted one of those! But I never got one =(

That's just wrong, if you needed to teach him how to be tough, just teach him when it becomes a problem. I don't think at the age of 3 you need to learn how to be tough and not a sissy. At that age your suppose to be cute and be adored by adults, not kick the crap out of the other kid because he took your bottle.

Well, I did like little houses and barbies and stuff when I was young, but I had cars too o.O I guess wasn't really bothered whether it was a "girl" or "boy" toy as long as I could have fun and make up stories with them xP

When I read the poll question I got all excited.

The best toys to play with when I was little were leftover wood from bookcase brackets, which Eo and I colored to look like cute snakes. We would then pit them against the evil snake (a fatter piece than the rest). Is that masculine or feminine? Well, we also played with dolls, and we didn't make any blowing-up noises during play sessions, so I'll go with feminine.

Hmm...I played with barbies and dolls and toy horses and polly pockets and stuff, but my storylines were anything but little girlish. Someone always ended up getting trapped by cannibals or something....

Not really...Twas fun not to play with toys but rather display them...[J/K...I played with some toys

Nope. Well...those flying thingies that you pull the cord and they spin off flying into the closest persons face. The male ones broke to easily and didn't fly straight.

I played with both types, mainly because my brother was there too. Can't say I really even had a preference for either set of toys.

I prefered my brothers' toys. Star Wars, Transformers, Hot Wheels. *sigh* But no matter what I asked for, I always ended up with generic 'Barbies' and kiddie kitchen sets.

My mother was very much guided by gender roles and did her best to force her ideals onto me. Good thing I'm so good at ignoring her. ^_^v
