Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

This is a really dumb poll, but what-the-hey, I'll post it anyway.
Let's say for some reason you die and are reincarnated as a velvet ant. A velvet ant isn't really an ant but is more like a relative of the wasp...
(Innit fuzzy?)
Anyway, the question is, would you rather be a male or female velvet ant? A male velvet ant can fly but can't bite. A female velvet ant can't fly but can inflict a very painful bite. It's basically just a matter of "fight or flight."

Fly, as I would be more likely to be swatted if I couldn't fly.

Probably the male. I don't like too bite (often

) but I would love to fly. ^_^

I can bite off males wings.
Thusly.
Bite. If I can't fly... no one can!

Females can't fly? Lame. Make me a guy then.

Probably the male ant...so I can fly ^^ wheee...though that might be dangerous

Male, flight much better than bite. But if it was deadly bite then I might reconsider,(maybe not to humans but other animals?) don't ask really.

Male.
The thought of being that size and not having a very comfortable mode of transport is just ...

Flying rules, but not having any way of attacking, bites.
I guess that if I could fly I'd probaby headbutt anyone or anything that annoyed me, so Male it is

Male. Biting someone and not being able to fly to get out of there is a very good way to get attacked/squished hence I'll just stick with the flying.

Male!
Flying would just be so much more interesting than crawling around and biting people. We can do that already.

Male, because I'm a coward.

Male velvet ants definitely fare better than most males in the insect kingdom. The theme of biting-females-and-flying-males extends to some types of ants, too. Male leafcutter ants are very small and can fly, but they die soon after mating with a queen. The queen loses her wings after mating and goes on to produce the different castes (nurses, workers, and soldiers) of female ants.
And to give you an idea of just how painful the female's bite is, she's nicknamed the "cow killer," because people believe it's so painful it could kill a cow. It's also interesting to note that she makes a very audible scream when picked up.
But I would pick male as well, for the reason that we never encounter males...obviously because they're so good at avoiding trouble with their flight! Better watch out for spider webs though.

Male, definately.
As for spider webs? Just don't fly between small areas, where spiders can form webs.

Female.
I like biting people.
