:| Has anyone heard of this?

I'm in a state of mild panic attack, as I don't want my parents to be able to search for my blog (and believe me, I get two pages of results for my blog). ._.

Never heard of it, but I looked just now.

I got 2 pages, with two posts of mine. Luckily, my LJ is friends only - I'm very paranoid.

Chances are, would your parents even know WHAT to search to find your blog?

I think there is someway that you can make your pages un-listed by google (like a code or something) so if it really bothers you, that may be a way to go? (or go freinds only? )

My parents would have to know what to search for, and my lj friends know that's fairly unlikely...

I did just spend some time looking for a friend of mine though...:S I know he has a blog, but he doesn't tell anyone where it is. Isn't under any of his usual names, so I'll leave it.

Interesting... my blog does show up, but then again it's no secret and I never write private stuff there anyway

And my mom bought the domain for me as a gift so I'm sure she is fairly informed already

I agree, I wouldn't want my folks to read my LJ or anything either. That is why I don't have one

Strangely enough Mark, the #1 result for my LJ name is your LJ. The rest of my results are mostly from a particular community, and a couple of LJ friends with public journals.
I'm not all that bothered by it.

Anything I don't want my parents/family members to see, I put as friends only. I'm not bothered.

I searched for my LJ and got one of my friend's LJs.

I searched for my first and last name and didn't get my LJ either. But I did get a lot of entries about Natasha Bedingfield and why you shouldn't drink and drive.

I searched for just my first name and didn't find anything on the first ten pages so I gave up (because my first name is somewhat common).
