Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

Still I guess she has a face now.

Who are you supposed to be, captain linksalot?
I read about this ages ago, a pretty icky story!

That is so freaky. It's good she has a face now, but from another person? Eeeew.

One step closer to my inevitable immortality.
Albeit a rather small one.
But a step none-the-less.

*shudders*
Oh geez, I am seriously creeped out in a flesh crawling creepy way.
Especially the part regarding donors....creepycreepycreepy.

Well, that's really creepy. The donor part is going to give me some nightmares. *shudders*
I am happy that the woman has a face now, though.

The news here said the woman was attacked by the dog while unconcious and trying to kill herself.

Well, that certainly is a strange twist.
It creeped my mom and I when we first heard about it on the news. Face transplant? Ewww... x_x

I'm agreeing with her.

I can see something like this in an April Fools day thousands of years in the future... o_o;
Sat Dec 03, 2005 9:31 pm
That's just..creepy
Gives me the chills thinking about the donors, they say it's no different from any other transplant but it just seems so wrong..
What about plastic surgery? I guess in this case she was too disfigured for it?
Sat Dec 03, 2005 9:37 pm
Well I don't find it so bad now because I originality thought "face plant" as in "oh she must have a plant growing out of her face". I must say, I'm rather relieved!

Same here. -.-
Imagine a plant growing out of your face. O.o

I think it's brilliant. Being disfigured must be devastating. Imagine it. You can't go anywhere or do anything without people gawking at you and whispering and pointing. This really gives you a new chance.

I think it just seems a little iffy because it's a new technology and people aren't used to hearing about it. I'm sure that heart transplants sounded a bit iffy as well when they first started being done, but you don't get much reaction to it nowadays. I'm glad the lady has a face now.
Still, I hope that 'brain-dead' really does mean 100% brain-dead and with no chance whatsoever of becoming ... un-brain-dead, for lack of a better word.
