Did you guys hear that there is actually one more second in the year 2005? Big whoop.
Happy New Year, everyone! Since so many other people set their clocks fast (ours in this timezone aren't slow, yours are FAST), you'll basically be a year ahead of us.

Happy 2006!

Happy New Years Everyone!!
Still about 5 hours until 12:00 here.
I always love New Years in Las Vegas. They say since Las Vegas turned 100 this year, we will have 500,000 dollars worth of fireworks - the largest we ever done!
"About 40,000 fireworks will be shot off of 10 hotel rooftops, stretching out over five miles of the Strip. The tops of the hotels will also light up with pyrotechnics to the tune of Liberace's "Chopsticks. The Strip will become a giant piano," said Phil Grucci, executive vice-president of Fireworks by Grucci and the designer of the show. They've also come up with neon-colored fireworks for the finale, which will erupt to Elvis' "Viva Las Vegas." Can't wait.
Me and my family always go to our backyard to watch them.
Not going out tonight

Most of the major roads will be closed, like Las Vegas Blvd. since 300,000 are planned to litter the streets.

While we're talking about the new year, we have to remember a group constantly dumped on, New Year after New Year. A group I happen to be a member of: people in the Central Time Zone. We have to watch the ball drop at 11:00 EVERY YEAR, and the only recognition we get is on the Conan O'Brien show. Which is a funny show, but that's not the point. Anyways, the Central Time Zone is a lot better than the other ones. After all, we have the city of Houston. Fortunately, they're dropping a giant bowl of gumbo in New Orleans, so I can still watch that.
