Grading scales

Sun Mar 19, 2006 2:12 am

What's the grading scale for your school?

Mine:

100-94 = A
94-87 = B
86-79 = C
78-70 = D
69 and below = F

Sun Mar 19, 2006 2:19 am

We don't do +'s and -'s.

90-100: A
80-89: B
70-79: C
60-69: D
Under 60: F

Well.. We did levels.

80-100=Level 4/A
70-79=Level 3/B
60-69=Level 3/C
50-59=Level 1/D
Below 50= Remedial.

But geez, I'm glad I didn't go to your school's.. Would have failed more classes than I did here. Too stupid to pass here, so.. Wow. That would have been bad for moi.

It varies class to class, but the usual overall scale applies (I think).

4 - 3.? = A
3.(?-.01) - 3 = B
2.9 - 2 = C
1.9 - 1 = D
.9 - 0 = F

Besides, grades are not a good way to determine how smart someone is or what they know. They just determine what someone knows is at certain times, hence good and bad test takers. One of my friends was one of the best mathematical minds I knew, but was bad at math tests. I blew a couple physics midterms because I didn't study everything that was one the given test. (I made up for it by heavily studying what I missed and was more than ready for the final). Grades are not a good way to tell who knows what.

90-100: A
80-89: B
70-79: C
60-69: D
Under 60: F

'bout that. I'm not too sure, but that's about the same. Although... anything up to about a 3 one's digit (93, 73, etc.) is a - grade, and then anything above a seven (I think) in the one's digit (87, 67, etc) is a +.

For some subjects/criterias:
5-6 - A
3-4 - B, C
1-2 - D, F

For other subjects/criterias:
7-8 - A
5-6 - B, C
3-4 - D
1-2 - F

And for other subjects/criterias:
9-10 - A
7-8 - B
5-6 - C
3-4 - D
1-2 - F

And in the end, all your criteria are averaged, then added up, then according to each subject's different grading scales, you are given your final grade out of 7 --
7 - A*
6 - A
5 - B
4 - C
3 - D
2 - F
1 - F-

I'm not entirely sure what my grading scale is....I think it's:

95-100: A
89-94: B
72-88: C
65-71: D
0-65: F

And it's a little lower for Math. Needless to say, I do horribly.

100-94 = A
94-87 = B
86-79 = C
78-70 = D
69 and below = F

One of our teachers was fired because she wouldnt stick to the "official" grading scale

Sun Mar 19, 2006 11:04 am

100-70 - A (1st)
70-60 - B (2:1)
60-50 - C (2:2)
40-50 - D (3rd)
40-0 - Fail

My grades are based upon the national average for that year.
I lucked out, as an aquintance of mine got an A+ with 58% last year :x
(I needed 86% when I did my exam)

I have no idea. We don't get letters anymore :(

I get Very High, High, Medium, Low, Very Low, Not Shown.

Currently I've got all VH's so far =3

74 - 65 : B
64 - 50 : C

Yup, that's my grading thing too. and 90-100 is 4+.

Wow, i'd hate to go to some of these schools. 95 for an A? That's insane

Woah, apparently we have a not so common grading scale, and we have the same one. Your location says Missouri- are you over by St. Louis? That's where I'm at.

We have no letters at my school, only numbered grades. Below 55 is fail.
