Problem with new mouse

This is not exactly a technical problem. I bought a new mouse since my old one could no longer right click. The problem with this new mouse is that, the cable is all twisted and bent, which is very annoying in navigating the cursor. It always staggers and controlling it can be a pain. Not to mention the new BTY is now impossible 
Anyway, can anyone give me tips on how to straighten a cable? I've tried stretching and twisting it (of course carefully to avoid cutting connection with the mouse itself). Doesn't work, it always returns to the original entangled mess. I've tried to work around the problem by adjusting the cable position. Doesn't work, it still rebounces back. I'm out of ideas.

Maybe getting something to hold it straight overnight and taking it off the next morning?

Return the mouse to the store with the packaging and receipt and get a new one.

That's the way to go. It works with just about everything.
If that doesn't work, try to find a way you can anchor down most of it so it doesn't bug you as much.

thats what i was going to suggest. either squash it flat or hang it so its pulled straight overnight.

That's probably not going to work, because I think in most cases the mouse cable will be curled up in some way.
Another option is to get a wireless mouse, like what I did.

I had considered that option but never got to do it since the idea sounds rather funny

Did the cable come coiled? If so...have you tried holding it up by the plug end and letting the mouse spin away and uncoil on its own?

Duh, if that's the case, it wouldn't be a problem. Try drawing a straight line in MSPaint with a mouse by using the pencil tool. Get the picture?

What about weighing the mouse on either end on a radiator that isn't too hot that it'd melt? Even if you weight half one night (or a few hours) then swap the weight to the other end but hopefully the heat will help loosen the plastic in the cord.
