Oh, the irony!

Sun Jul 11, 2004 1:21 pm

This is really ironic. A few days ago a small fire broke out at a old unused fire station.

Heh...that's pretty cool. Now see, if it were being used this could have been prevented. ;)

That's hilarious! I hope no one was hurt...but hilarious.

A firestation near where I live caught on fire a week or so ago. I think the firemen were grilling or something and were called out to a house fire. They forget to turn off the grill/stove or something along those lines. The kitchen caught fire, etc, etc.

Yeah, I know, I wouldn't feel comfortable living in a town where firemen accidently set their station on fire.

It's like rain on your wedding day
It's a free ride when you've already paid
It's the good advice that you just didn't take
And who would've thought it figured.

Now that went pretty good. Those were lyrics from the song 'Ironic' by Alanis Morisette. THe whole song goes with this hilarious situation.

That has got to me the most ironic thing I ever heard..

Luckily, I don't live in that town. Not to mention my father is safety obsessed. I'm surprised we don't have fire extinguishers in every room.. ;P

You should know that Alanis Morisette was the laughing stock of the world for that song, there is not a single ironic situation or irony in the whole thing...

I was just about to mention that. XD

The video was kind of cool though.

What would've been more ironic was if a fire broke out at an operating fire station.

Except my 10th grade English teacher believes it's situational irony. And my 7th grade reading teacher played it for us as an example of irony.

It's still my favorite Alanis Morissette song though.

lol ironic indeed. Hmm, maybe the next thing will be organized crime in police stations... oh wait.. too late lol

Oh I know, we talked about that in English class last year. To me, that's just ironic. I mean, she got famous for a song about something that she knew nothing about. Heh, oh well. It's a fun little song that every likes to sing now and then. :battar:
