Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

Yes. Today is the anniversary of the London bombings. I'm quite surprised that there wasn't a thread started until now and I think we should give respect to those who died and the families affected by this awful act of terrorism. It's been on my mind all day and I wasn't even directly affected by it. It happened in my country though, and I think if you hurt one Briton, you hurt them all.
Anyway, this is the place to show your respects.

I'm not surprised there wasn't a thread- there isn't a thread to recognise the majority of terrorist attacks anniversaries, and this is a non-English dominated forum. Plus lots of people are probably getting it elsewhere.
It was a sad, sad time, and it should never have happened. The subsequent weeks were a bad time to be in London too.

I remember going to a performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat in London with my Norwegian cousin about two weeks after the bombings last year. Hardly anyone was there and we got the best seats simply because everyone was scared.
It was disgusting that it happened but I'm not surprised there was no thread either, for the reasons Igg stated. My whole school had a two minute silence at twelve o' clock, and it reminded me of how my friend was so scared her dad was included in those injured/deceased because he wasn't answering his mobile phone. Then he answered the stupid phone and told her that he'd been in a coffee shop. -heavy sigh-
I hate it that people died and got hurt. It's just so wrong. As my headmistress said today, some people's lives will never ever be the same again because of those bombings.

No thread, why?
Because we put up with that rubbish for a millennia, we arent going to start worrying about it now.
