Mini-Beasts!

Today, a rather old memory struck me. A song that I sang in school way back when I was about 7. It was called something like 'Mini-Beasts', but nobody else seems to have ever heard it!

It went like (to my memory, at least...I think that there was another verse?):

Eeny Weeny Mini-Beasts,
Fat...oooorrrrrr...skinny beasts!
Spiders lurking; ants hard-working...
Hopping, hurrying, crawling, scurrying,
MINI-BEASTS!

It was such a lovely song, but can somebody please tell me that I'm not the only person in the world to have heard it?!?!?!

I vaguely remember my sister singing something like that. Shall ask her if she knows the song.

O_o I'm really glad I misread the title.

I know that song, just a slightly different version.

Oh yeah, that was a hit way back when. Don't see why now though.

I totally misread that title as well.

I misread the title too, but I have actually not heard of that song at all. That probably helped my misreading along that I couldn't actually think of anything else it would be subconsciously.

Eh, when I was about 7 ... I knew a song about mini-beasts, but it's quite different xD

Mini-beasts, mini-beasts,
..... all around,
..... here, .... there,
.......
......

Actually, it was part of a topic we covered in Primary school, and my teacher was telling us all about various insects and creepy-crawlies, and called them "mini-beasts." When I got older I learnt that the official term was "insects." Then I got kind of confused and checked lots of other materials but I couldn't find anything about "mini-beasts" -.- Thus I believed that my Year 2 teacher must have been a fat liar.

I misread too. Dirty minds think alike.

I think I vaguely recall something similar that my sister used to sing, but she doesn't remember it either.

I keep singing those words on the spiderman tune, I'm sure thats wrong?

Was it a tv ad or a real song?

Hahaha...when I first tried to "sing" it in my head, I thought the exact same tune
