Does anyone else frequently get mouth ulsers?
Have any home remedies for them? I have one that's been there about 2 weeks, it started off normal but as I kept on putting the stuff that's meant to get rid of it it got bigger and more painful.
I just used mouthwash which got rid of the pain and made it bleed a little. I take that as a good sign as I heard that ulcers are blood clotting so it may be good to get the blood flowing.
Any one get ulcers, know any remedies or think that I'm going to kill myself doing what I did do reply now, I command you!

I've heard that eating sauerkraut is good for them (although it's probably the vinegar). It worked for me, so it's worth a try.
Whatever you do, this falls under the LITHA rule (Leave it the Hell Alone). That means don't bite it, poke it with your tongue, anything. Just ignoreit and it'll go away.

well... I use a particular type of chinese powder form medcine, but I'm not sure if you can get it where you are....
But another method I heard from a DJ on radio, you press vitamin C pill on the ulcer, it works very well for me, mine healed the next day, but i must warn you that it really hurts like hell when you're doing do.... so only try if you think you can take the pain...

I heard that ice works well on ulcers because the germ or virus or whatever it is can only survive in certain temperatures. So put ice on it and it kills it. It still has to heal though, but you killed the germs in it.

Oh, poor you. Mouth sores are so horribly painful. I suggest talking to your dentist and asking him/her to prescribe Peridex. I have suffered from mouth sores for years. My mouth is so sensitive that I get them even after a teeth cleaning procedure. And, nothing ever worked but Peridex. I stick a bit of it on the end of a q-tip and it kills the mouth sore within a day.

You can probably get a few mouth creams over at the chemist or something that could help, for the most part they seem to numb the area and help them to clear up a little faster. A Doctor can probably prescribe something a little more active if its a really big problem.
