I need urgent help

Wed Jul 14, 2004 5:00 pm

I am signing up for ebay because I want to put my Nintendo 64 up for bid. However I hit a road block.

Unless I use an email to confirm my regristration with a ISP (Like @AOL.com or something) then I have to enter my credit card information.

I was wondering if someone had an email from a:
Internet Service Provider (AOL, EarthLink, etc.)
Company
Organization
School

And they could access immedetly, if they could let me use their email this one time only and forward the ebay email to mailto:BooksSP@yahoo.com

Thanks!!!

Just sell your N64 at a game store, you won't need credit card information their.

I live in the middle of no where.

The nearest game store is 2 and a half hours away.

Wow, that is in the middle of no where.
Then maybe sell it privately. Sorry, I don't have a company adress, all I have is yahoo.com.

OK...I though Leicester was in the middle of no where. Well...maybe you could put a add in the newspaper, or something like the Iwanna.

I think any email address will do, doesn't necessarily have to be with your ISP.

I put in yahoo originally and it says if I don't have an email adress of an ISP or a school/company then I have to confirm it with a credit card...

I can't help you either, mine's a custom domain name. Next time you're out travelling you can see if you can find a store that takes old game systems.

Have you tried signing up with a Juno address? That's what I use and I don't think I had to add credit card information when I signed up. You can get Juno mail for free, but some people also use Juno for an ISP. That's what I use to get around things like that without using my ISP addy (which I never use anyway).

Erm, do you need to register with Ebay already? 'Cause you can use my AOL e-mail if you like, but I didn't register for E-bay.

I'm pretty sure that the reason that you need a paid e-mail address is so if you don't pay the e-bay fees they can find you. It prevents people signing up with free accounts and skipping out on the sellers charges. You really do need your own e-mail or credit card for this.

If you have an internet provider why can't you get a email from them?

Why not? It's probably a lot better and safer than Yahoo or any web-based email.
