I never pictured him dying, he's done so much crazy stuff and lived... I feel so bad for his family...
I feel like I've lost a real friend...

So sad, really. I had to check so many sites before I believed it was real.

He did a heck of a lot for the environment in Australia, but I never liked his television persona.

Therefore, I'm not terribly troubled that he's dead, but I'm not happy, either.

Ho ma god.

I was just talking to my friend about that show. Its really sad. I really liked him.

When I was 7 that was my favortie show.

Depressing, really.

*stares*

"It is understood he was killed by a stingray barb that went through his chest and reportedly into his heart ."

I just... can't... get over this. Wow. A stingray. Wow. I'm really really shocked by this.
I feel so bad for his wife and his kids. His kids were young (8 & 3), and thats really awful. Just wow... Poor Steve. You know, I can't actually think of something clever/half mean to say about this. I genuinely feel bad.
Rest in peace Steve.

Oh wow... I'm just... shocked. I just logged onto AIM and Rune and Jilly messeged me about it but I thought they were playing a prank on me.

Oh jeez... his poor family.

Mon Sep 04, 2006 6:42 am

Crikey... Sorry that was mean but you gotta admit, it had to be said.

R.I.P. mate. Sorry, I'll stop.

I saw it on the news this morning - poor guy and his family.

Ditto to the above, I was rather shocked when I heard, and so sad for his kids and wife :(

When I first heard I tried to look it up on various news sites, and they were all down, or laggy! I'm guessing there might be some connection... it's amazing the response this has had on the net! Some people aren't appreciated enough until they're gone :(

Man it's just hit me. I can't believe he died. I feel so bad for his wife and kids. :(

I can't believe this...it's hard to sink in. When I saw the link to the article I thought it was someone's idea of a sick joke. RIP Steve. His family and friends will be in my thoughts :(

It went around the entire senior school in about 15 minutes here.

It's sad (but in a way it was inevitable), but I feel sorry for his family.

Apparently it went halfway around Australia before his wife even found out :(

Mon Sep 04, 2006 8:03 am

Wow, that's a bit of a shock :(

R.I.P. Steve...

I think that it's a very ironic death, though. He risked his life so many times wrestling crocodiles and alligators and whatnot, and he gets killed by a random stingray... It seems like a really odd way to die for a man that lived so recklessly...

I heard the news about an hour ago? when Mum called me, telling me that her "workmate" told her this. At first I didn't believe it, as her "workmates" like talking nonesense and spreading it. But then I found this thing on Yahoo and believed it. That time I was like :o .

I had never thought he'd die. He have been so close to crocs and been doing things very dangerous, but nothing ever happened to him (as far as I know). This was quite shocking to me.

So sad...I kinda enjoyed his shows. :(

RIP Steve Irwin
