Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

Hey guys, as Halloween is going to be here in just a short month and 23 days, I was thinking we could all make our costumes and this is the perfect place for help.
Here we can either talk about our awesome costumes, ask for ideas, ask for help on where to obtain the costume or costume pieces for ideal prices and to tell people where to find previously mentioned items.
Rant, Gloat and everything in between my brothers! (and sisters)

One Halloween when we were living in Arizona, my uncle James dressed up as an outhouse. He had the bottom cut out for his legs, and holes in the sides for his arm. What he would do is he would get in the costume and pull his legs and arms in and wait by the door. When the kids got close he would pull out his arms and legs and spook them. They ran away. xD

I know a girl who's got a really great idea.
But, nobody would get it.

I would push him over.
I haven't done anything for halloween for years, so I can't help you much guys.

Oh good, I'm not the only one thinking about Halloween.
Unfortunately, I'm really not getting any "inspired" ideas. The best I've come up with so far is the embodiment of the deadly sin Avarice, but a costume isn't worth wearing if you have to explain it to everyone.
My boyfriend, on the other hand, came up with a great concept. He's going to dress up like a 50's bad boy(you know, greased hair, leather jack and suchlike) and carry a picket sign. Rebel with a cause. I told him his sign needs to say "Bring back Wagon Train"--bonus points to anyone who knows where I got that.

I'm just going to go with the usual hide behide the locked gate so that the church goers can't get anywhere near me. People don't do halloween around here, they have 'Angels and Knights' parties...

An attempt by the Church across the road to stop children from thinking about, and dressing up as evil and unChristian things such as demons, ghost, undead, witches, etc. Instead of spiders and such they put up sparkly happy objects. The female spawnlings go as angels with fluffy little haloes and the male as little plastic knights complete with plastic chivalry.

No, you'd probably get it.
I'll PM it to you.
I haven't dressed up in a few years. The last year, I was a scarecrow. I had "hay" coming out of my shirt and everything.
It was incredibly scratchy. XD

In celebration of Johnny Depp's sexiness and my wonderful boots, this year I am going as a pirate. Unoriginal but damn fine all the same!

One year my friends and I did a group costume. I (along with most of them) dressed up as bowling pins. We made the costumes ourselves with sheets, red felt, and some other odds and ends. One of them dressed up as a bowling ball and another dressed up as a bowler. That's the extend of our original halloween costume ideas.
