The Shirataki Noodle Diet

Thu Sep 21, 2006 6:02 pm

I've just heard of a new diet called the Shirataki noodle diet!
Shirataki noodles are not like raman or any other noodles. These have very little calories or fat, and no carbs! I really don't think there is much nutrition in them, but the point is that they are a bulky food which fills you up. You use these to supliment your diet. Because these fill you up with something, you feel like you ate something, and you eat less.
Here are a few links about the diet.
I have also done internet searches and found a lot of recipes using them.

I am so excited about this and I want to give it a try, but I'd rather buy them at my local supermarket than order them online. Can you help me? If you think you would be interested in trying this diet, please contact a few of your local stores ask for these.

You should tell them this:

Distributed by
House Foods Corporation

and HouseFoods.co.jp (Japanese)

That is the only distributor I could find at the moment. Maybe you can find more.

If they had them at my local store I might try them.. I love pasta. :P

If they weren't in bulk I might try buying them over the internet. I just don't need a hundred packs of pasta. o_O
