NaNoWriMo 2006

It's that time of the year again, can you believe it?
Apologies if I post this one month before October, but I really couldn't wait. I've been looking forward to it for all the summer

What is NaNoWriMo?
It's the National Novel Writing Month! The goal is to write a 50,000 word novel during the month of November. It might sound insane... well, actually it is. But that's half of the fun! (The other half is getting high on caffeine, mess up your sleep patterns and losing your social life for 30 days

)

So, tomorrow the NaNo site will open registrations again... who's going to join from PPT? Last year there were quite a lot of people...
My plan is to get an outline done this month, I've already got some ideas. I absolutely don't want to end up like last year where my novel was absolutely crazy, and I don't want to use monkeys again.
Oh, and I'll need a NaNo set :lol:

I had a stab at it last year, but didn't really know what to expect so I didn't commit myself to it properly.

I think I will try again this year though, and maybe I'll have a plan in my head this time lol

That's really cool!! I'd like to try it, but I'm already working on a novel for my master's thesis that's due in January. I'll have to keep it in mind for next year, though. Good luck to everyone who tries!

I'd join, but November is always the worst time of the year for me (exams).

I might try next year, as I'll be on a work placement.

Sorry DM... but I'd been planning to make a thread since mid-August

I have 2,800 words of outline done too, I just can't wait for it to start.
