It was like losing a baby ... *cry*

Tue Oct 17, 2006 10:38 am

Yesterday, we were recording this new song, and it was so hot, we were all dancing around (the song that is). Vocals all done, backing vocals all done, music all done, we were in the final stage mixing everything together, and just at the final 2 inches before wrapping up the song, the entire system goes bonkers and essentially, nothing was working again.

I was devastated! It was like losing a baby! (As the following photo will demonstrate.) I seriously wanted to cry

I was so excited! I wanted to take the song home and show all you guys and all my friends and family argh! *dies* It was THAT good. We mucked around with the machine for an hour and the technology thing kept coming up with errors ARGH! *hits head on monitor*

Anyways, I'll be shooting over to this site two new songs that were recently recorded for the album soon (that is, if they can be found again... hehehe). They're hot... and if you like happy music, you'll love this new material! Trust me... you will. Look at the photo below, it's my best impression of a salesman saying "trust me".

I've also started a new song with a friend on the side called "I'm Coming Home" which I'll also put up on the site soon, and man-o-man, there's lots of recording happening these days. One of my old songs "Back Where I Begun" is being picked up by a mayalsian artist for his album to be released through MTV possibly so hey, that's good. I got invited to do the backing vocals for that this Thursday so it will be good!

Oh btw, for no relevant reason, here's a photo of me butt nekkid.

Just kidding, I'm not really naked.

At least you can remember the song and replicate it again. Imagine if suddenly everyone couldn't remember the song, only that it rocked, but no one could remember the words or much of the melody.

You'd be like "That song rocked! Can anyone remember what we were singing about? Last night is a bit foggy, but I do know that song was awesome!"

Then someone would be like "Um..it was sort of like do do do do.."

Then someone else would say "No it was like..lalala la laaaaaaaaa"

That would be so annoying.

Thank goodness for socks! :o

About your song, if it got erased, then it was meant to. In recreating it, you'll probably fiddle and make an even better one. ;)

At least you aren't that guy in Las Vegas that bought a Picasso painting for $48 million, and wanted to sell it for about 3 times that, but poked his elbow through it, and now he can't sell it because it is too damaged. As long as you can do it over again, even if it takes forever, it is better than not being able to redo it.
