Do you agree with them? or do you think everyone should be meat eaters, or do you think everyone is entitled to their own opinion? Just a thought...

Me, I think everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Its a matter of personal ethics and beliefs so I'm all for people being entitled to their own opinion and being able to eat what they do or do not want.

Yes, perhaps it has been shown via the structure of our jaws, teeth, faces etc that we are supposed to be omnivores and predators but I still don't think that is any reason to try and force someone to go against their ethics or to try and belittle their ethics either.

We have our eyes positioned towards the front of our face (predators have this, prey usually have eyes in the sides or tops of their heads so they can view more) and the fact that we have various teeth mainly for tearing and shredding meat. *shruggs* I'm not using it as an argument for why people should be eating meat, only as a passing comment about what some people/scientists believe. Who knows, it could be what remains through evolution.

Nonetheless, I have a great amount of respect for anyone with the personal strength to choose to no longer consume meat (or other animal products) and to stick by what they've decided :)

As Medusa said, our teeth were designed for eating meat as well as vegetables, but that doesn't mean that we have to. It's just a matter of personal preference. I prefer both, however, I do not like fish, I also do not like cabbage, therefore, I choose not to eat those things, even though my body is more than equipped to handle them.
On the other hand, felines were created to eat meat, but I used to have a cat that had a bit of a doughnut obsession...

You do realize Chocolate is posionous for various animals eg. cats, dogs etc.

I think a matter of choice on whether one choose to be a Vegitarian or if they want to eat meat and vegetates.

Ah, but she only liked the glazed ones anyway. She was well known for stealing them. She'd even jump on the counter and nudge the box open to get one.

Also for some strange reason my cat always used to nick pringles...

Sun Jul 18, 2004 9:29 am

I don't discriminate and eat both. Vegetables are alive too, picking/eating them is still killing :P

Sun Jul 18, 2004 11:05 am

It's your personal choice, really.

Don't tell me what to eat, and I won't tell you. Unless you ask me. >.>

Sun Jul 18, 2004 12:52 pm

I eat both and I see no reason why I shouldn't.
