Who hates naked guys in the gym changing rooms?

Fri Feb 09, 2007 4:20 am

OK I think I've seen too many naked guys in my gym changing room... I'm all fine for being naked and everything but when you shave naked (the heck?) and sit on the changing benches and read the newspaper naked with your jollywhacker hanging out for the world to see, I think that's taking it a bit too far. It isn't a nudist resort :o

Since I'm a girl, I've never seen any naked men in my changeroom, and I don't really look for naked women. I do almost always managed to get elbowed as I walk by, though, which is completely unrelated.

And who casually reads a newspaper while naked in a gym locker room?

I see nothing wrong with being naked and around other people. But if you're going to have a naked party, invite your friends over and casually mention it to them right after they've said they'll show up. Don't just try to start one at random.

I have nothing against nudity, it's perfectly normal, it's just when it's all up in my face that it bothers me.

Hhhhmm. Depends. If it was the Chicago Bears locker room, I wouldn't mind at all. :P Since I'm of the female persuasion and they're of the male persuasion and all that good stuff. But if it was the local senior citizen center's locker room, I do believe I'd pass. *hides eyes*

Kym, you do know that you set yourself up with this question since some of us in this forum are women. Hehehe.

Ohh yeah well that's very true. Well think of it vice versa. Is it the same for women's locker rooms too?

A lot of women tend to be very shy in locker rooms. So, no.

It doesn't have to be a Senior Citizen Center to have old people. Its always the old people that do it. I know you're getting older, and more mature and whatnot, but we don't need "XXX Mature!" please. Read your news paper in your rocking chair, not on the benches that other people are using.

Meh, half the girls in my gym class change in the shower stalls.

It does seem to be that way. My daughter once had a birthday party at a local university's swimming pool. Right after public swim. And some of the older women (meaning way older than me, that is) thought nothing of ripping their suits off and bearing it all. Right in front of these poor 10 year olds with their mouths gaping open, thinking to themselves, I am gonna look like that someday???? And ready to drink the koolaid right then and there. Oh, my. I was even thinking that myself. Hahaha. Like someone on Blue Collar TV once said after accidentally seeing grandma naked in the bathroom, it was like seeing a bloodhound in a showercap. Only in this case, a swim cap. I mean, I am not exactly a spring chicken, but I still do have some modesty. And modesty is a good thing to have.

..... and why are you posting this?

Fri Feb 09, 2007 5:19 am

Hmm... at my local swimming pool older people walk around and talk while nude all of the time.

...but I don't want to see that (not that I go there often anyway), so I go into a bathroom stall, change, and it's a straight shot to the pool.

Changing your clothes is fine, so is showering and talking. But there's no reason to lounge around in a small locker room in the nude, in a place where over 50% of the people are between the ages of 6 and 10. If I really wanted to see that, I'd Google it.

Oh, and when they huddle around you and talking while you're fiddling with the locker... one of the most awkward moments I've had. >_>

Oh, geez. You poor thing. *shakes head* I just don't get it. Is it that they lose a certain part of their brain? Or that they are so old that they just don't give a fig's leaf anymore about anything? Including the feelings of others. Grandpa and Grandma surely wouldn't change their clothes in front of their grandkids, yet seem to not even think about it while doing it in front of kids of the same age.
