Happy Lunar New Year!

It's the first day of the Lunar New Year and this year's the Year of the Pig. My father's mother is coming to eat dumplings for lunch and I have a family reunion lunch to go to tomorrow. I'm given lots of lai see, red packets with money in them. ^-^

Yay! Happy New Year!

This is my year of the pig! Too bad I'm in an area that barely celebrates cultural events. Boo. Oh well. My mom sends out red packets to everyone so I should expect mine hopefully on Tuesday (thank you President Washington).

I totally forgot that it was the new year until I got a voice message from my parents. :oops:

But I did think of it a few days ago! My grandmother was born in the year of the pig, so this year, she's supposed to be extra lucky.
