Haha, reminds me of that Far Side where the guy has a lion in an elevator. As the door closes, he tells the other occupants not to worry- the lion won't react unless startled.
And then the elevator door closes on his tail.

Haha.Not all elevators have the sensors or they don't all work or something because I've seen them close on people and not open without strong prying. It'd be really nice if they did, though.
The reminds me of this one time my coworkers and I were leaving work and getting into the elevator to go home. This other lady was coming and I pressed the button to keep the door open. The doors kept closing, though, so I kept pushing the button. The other people were looking at me weird, but I was just concerned with trying to let this lady in and couldn't figure out what was going wrong. Just as the lady came up to the elevator, the doors closed in her face. She *almost* made it. Turns out the whole time I was pressing the "close doors" button. lol That totally explained the shocked expressions on my coworkers. One of them said, "Ooh, she's going to be mad at you tomorrow." haha Oops.
