Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

Yeaaah what if you found out that your mum or dad posted on PPT or was going to? What would you do?
Scenario 2: What if they started posting on PPT, but they didn't know you posted on PPT?
Wed Mar 28, 2007 2:12 am
...my mom does post on PPT sometimes? In her own account, of course. lol
If my dad started, however... I've be terrified because I don't know what in the world he'd think. XD And I don't know what they'd do if, for some reason, they both randomly started and didn't know I posted here (obviously this does not go on! haha)

They would probably find out that people know my name here, and get mad at me: "OMB, Austin, that Christopher guy sounds like he would molet a 15yo male!" "Chris is is New Zealand." "How do you know he really is?" "Why would someone increment 6500+ posts over several years to satisfy his deranged fantasies?" "We're grounding you because your ability to make a good point makes us feel angry/"
If one of them joined... Hmm, I'd be convincing them to play WW, then I would always get them executed. Either that, or create a new bogus account that only they don't know is me, and once they got in the Debate group, I would laugh at all their ideas.

First off, neither of my parents would join PPT, because (1) my mom isn't too computer-savvy, and she doesn't like using her laptop a lot because she uses a computer at work all the time, and (2) my dad isn't into this sort of thing. Plus he's really paranoid.

My dad can only type with two fingers, and he isn't interested in anything online that doesn't directly affect him, so he sticks to emailing his tennis partners. I'd know right away if he signed up for PPT, because he'd have to ask for my help in registering. I love him but he's computer-illiterate in a big way.
My mom's a bit too old for PPT. And by "old" I mean "obsessed with sewing machines." That's the extent of her interest in the internet, sewing machines and sewing paraphernalia.
In other words, I can't imagine my parents joining PPT in this particular version of reality. Now, if we lived in Sitcom Universe, they'd be on here and zaniness would ensue after I'd discovered their secret PPT identities. Half an hour later, all our zaniness would close with a snappy quip and all issues resolved.

Well my mom already knows I post here. My dad wouldn't join, he isn't into Neopets. My mom wouldn't either, she'd afraid of getting reamed out for her opinions like her deranged child.

That made me lol.

I am the parent o.O mwahahaha
actually she's only 8 and doesn't post here so guess that doesn't count.
If my parents posted they already know how strange I am anyways and probably nothing would surprize them.

Crap! Your hypothetical parents are (finally after these long years) on to me :O

My mum would never post on ppt because shes not a technology nut like me. And my dad is always on his laptop but not on my Dell PC.
Wed Mar 28, 2007 1:03 pm
I'd cry...seriously. I would cry! Cos I post some of my more personal stuff here and I wouldn't like the thought of them finding out!

My father has never used a computer in all the 6-7 years we've had one. If he were suddenly on here, I'd have to assume he'd been abducted by aliens or replaced with an android. Or both.
My mum, on the other hand, is like a best friend. Ive been trying to get her to do things online besides poker and emailing me chain letters for years. If she decided to post here, I'd be thrilled.

That is *so* my dad, too. I doubt either of my parents would ever join PPT, as they don't do a lot online. My mom checks her email, but that's about it...my dad...I think we're lucky if he even bothers to check his.

I have nothing to be ashamed of, although I'd probably go nuts at my mum for venturing into more of my life. She already joined Myspace. How sad.
Wed Mar 28, 2007 7:41 pm
My mom probably wouldn't, but I believe my dad does have an account here.
I've told my parents about friends I've made here though.
I've got absolutely nothing to be ashamed of.
