Very sad. He was one of my top two favorite writers. Although 84 years is very good. So it goes, indeed.

Aw, that's sad. I've been meaning to read Slaughterhouse Five since last year, but never was able to get the book, much less read it.
But still, he lived to an old age, which is usually good.
