For example, our initial plan was to do "Buttons" by the Pussy Cat Dolls and dress up in all fake leather and stuff... but then realised we need a large group who can steadily sing. We dont want that, we just want 2 or 3 people.
So now, our new idea is to rap. Get the most obnoxiously puffy pants we can find, the hats with the largest brims we can find, and some frickin huge chains to hang off of our necks..... and boy, can we rap.
So I was just looking for some suggestions for a song thats really got a beat to it, that gets people bouncing up and down with "they hands in the air." Also something where two people can banter back and forth a lot if necessary. However, its a talent show, so it cant be OBVIOUSLY about sex or drugs or something. If it says the S-Word in it once, we can replace it with the word "stuff" for example. Thats fine. Just not over-the-top bad topics.
For example, "Gold Digger" happens to be a good one. During the chorus we'd just to the "Broke, broke" edit they do on the radio. But, we arent doing that one, because it's been done recently at our school. So can I get some suggestions? Ill literally download every suggestion I get to check it out!

Let's see what else I have in my ipod...
Beastie Boys (Fight for your right to party, Intergalatic)
Biz Markie (Just a Friend)
Sugarhill Gang (Rapper's Delight, Apache)-- very old school
Ice Cube (Check Yourself)
Outkast (The Way you Move, Hey Ya)-- Now Hey ya is about a one night stand, but they saw fit to use it on one of those Kidz Bop Albums, so I'm guessing it's pretty clean
I can't vouch for the cleanliness of most of those lyrics, but hopefully it'll give you some ideas or a place to jump off from.
