Why...?

Wed May 02, 2007 10:09 pm

One of my friends from school died.

It wasn't his fault, either - it was completely medical, not alcohol-related or anything.

I'm having a really bad day...

My deepest sympathies.

Years ago, I was where you are now. I'm sorry for your loss.

Aw :(
*big hugs*
If I were with you right now I'd make you a big cup of hot tea and sit and chat with you... but I'm not, so all I can do is offer my deepest sympathy. If you need anyone to talk to, I'm here.

Awww, Xyzzy! {{{huggles}}} I'm so, so sorry. Losing a friend is never easy, especially when it's because of medical problems. :( I lost a friend to Leukemia when I was younger. I'll be around if you need to talk or just vent. {{huggles again}} I'll keep you and her other friends and family in my prayers.

Me, too, Shapu. My best friend died at the age of 15 while in gym class. She had major heart problems that the parents never disclosed to anyone. I cried my eyes out for, I don't know, days, weeks, months, years? We had been friends since we were babies (grew up on the same block and back then neighbors were close, like familiy). My heart breaks for you Uncle Xyzzy. Cause I know it hurts. ((hugs)) And, hey, it's OK to cry about it, just in case people are telling you different.

I'm so sorry. There's not much anyone can say, but we're all thinking of you.

I can't imagine how that feels. I had a classmate who I barely knew die when I was in Form One. I bawled my eyes out.

My thoughts are with you.

I've been there too. *hugs* The most important thing to remember is that everyone grieves differently, and NO ONE can tell you how to grieve. Some people think talking to others helps, some don't... do what you think is right. There will be bad days, lots of bad days, but you're going to be okay. *hugs again*

I'm so sorry about your loss. I'll be sure to keep the person in my prayers.

A few years ago, someone at my high school died of bone cancer. To remember her, every year we have a benefit walk/carnival to raise money for bone cancer research, and it's really a beautiful thing.
