Months ago, I applied to work at an America summer camp for 9-11 weeks. Ten minutes ago, I found out I got placed at a Girls Scout camp in Iowa.
http://www.mcgirlscouts.org/CampSac.htmlOnly thing is, I only got 48 hours notice of my placement so I'm flying out to America tomorrow!
So I guess this is goodbye PPT.
I'll be back on the 31st August so I'll probably be posting like mad from the beginning of September.
Goodbye! Wish me luck!

Cool, I hope you have fun.
So do you know what exactly your duties at the camp will be yet?
And I'm looking forward to the mad posting in September

You know we have Teh Intawebs in America, right? I mean, we aren't totally backwards.
Now, if you don't mind, I have to go wrestle an alligator wearing old denim coveralls, a floppy straw hat, and no shoes. *burp*
Anyway, congratulations! The Girl Scouts of America is a good organization, and Iowa's gonna be a great experience for you. Do you know where in Iowa the camp is?
And have you ever seen corn? I mean, on the stalks?

http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/fin ... es%2C+iowaToday in Des Moines (by the way, lass, you'll discover quite quickly that Americans don't pronounce any French very well, so this is pronounced "duh-MOYN"), it'll be 89 degrees fahrenheit for the high, and 70 F for the low.
I think this equates to something like 400 C for the high, and 724 C for the low. Or whatever.

O_O HOLY COW! If it was 400 C it would be 752 f. We'd burn
! Haha the weather in Iowa sounds like weather down here, only a tad bit cooler.
