Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

Have you ever met anyone from PPT in real life? I haven't as none of my friends/family come here, and I'm relatively new so I haven't met any new online friends in person yet.

I haven't, although I would be open to it if the opportunity arose.
Not too many people are in my neck of the woods! (Albany, NY). That I know of, at least.

Rachel, zorg, and Kym. I'm catching up with Rachel this Sunday too (though I may be slightly hungover... -.0), and I was meant to go to Kym's birthday bash but I have to work

Not that I'm aware, although Marching Duck lives around here, and Uncle Xxyyhax...Uncle Xpzyghx...uhm, Uncle X is down the road just a couple of hours. And Morningstar, IIRC, is in Chicagoland, which is just a few hours north of St. Louis.
It's possible that I *have* met them, just not known it.

I wouldn't mind either, and actually live pretty close to an Albany
which is probably millions of miles away from NY, but never mind close enough ; )shapu wrote: It's possible that I *have* met them, just not known it.
That's a good point! Sometimes on forums I get the feeling that I've already met a certain poster before (especially if there's a heated argument/discussion going on
).

Interesting! I wonder how (and how much longer) you guys took to work out who each other were/are?

Wow that's pretty cool
Did you guys know each other before PPT? If not, did you recognise each other the first time you met?

Well Christopher and I are next door neighbours, but that's like 20 Km from here, and you have to get past the thousands of sheep on the road. So I haven't actually met him, one day we'll have to get together, perhaps we could swim to Australia together.

She gave me her AIM screen name the first time we talked. I figured out about a week later that there can't be too many people using the name Puddingofevil.

Maybe I should have included another poll option to fit a scenario like yours, something like:
Yes- We accidentally met in real life after meeting on PPT but didn't realise it at the time!
EDIT: I just added it as an option, but I didn't realise that editing it would alter the poll results. I tried deleting the option later but the results have been deleted
Sorry everyone, I guess we'll have our answers

Nope. Don't think I ever could to be honest. I only have a few people I know online that I'd be willing to meet offline, and it's no one here.

Nah, I dont think there are any PPTers who come from Leicester...
Unless I have met one... without realising :O
