Do you think there are more movies than albums, or more albums than movies? In the world that is, ever.

It would only make sense that there are more albums. I mean, people have been writing music far (far far far far far far) longer than people have been making movies. Not only that, but there are remixes and many various artists albums. Not only THAT, but there are soundtracks of movies, meaning the number of movies and albums is at least equal. Not only THAT, but there are not only music albums, but comedy, audio books, language learning, etc.
Therefore, there are most definately more albums than music.

hard to say...I dont keep track of world movies or music so its hard for me to fathum how much is really out there. It almost seems to me that they should break even...but also that albums might take the lead just because so many movies have soundtracks...but there are also movies from the creation of film though modern day that opt. not to have soundtracks or did not have the capabilities for the time.
but music has been around longer than film. bare that in mind.

I'd say albums.
I
think there are more recording artists (or those who want to look like they're "artists") than people who direct/film movies. And each have released
at least one album. I also
think that it costs less and takes less time to record an album than it does to film a movie so that people would actually find it somewhat enjoyable.
...but then again, there are the movies that are being made in massive numbers in India.
Though, even counting all those, I highly doubt the album count can be beat.

You can definitely tell that Paul is back, what with the reinsurgence of strange polls.
Way more albums, because you have like compilation discs, et cetera.

It depends on what you classify as a movie. Do you mean just major motion pictures? Are you including those ever so naughty movies? What about movies created by film students for class? I mean, there are movies about movies. Movies about music. There are movies about everything. There are silent movies! The madness!
It is tough to say which there is more of. I would like to say movies (especially if you count the naughty ones), though there are probably more albums.

If a movie is defined as a motion picture, I'd have to say definitely albums. I know there are way more movies out there than just the major ones, but the same goes for albums as well, and I'd think more so, given how many more bands/groups there are than film producers.

More albums. For almost every movie, there is an album, and there are tens of thousands of artists making songs for many, many decades.

I was thinking movies as there are a lot of silent movies plus movies from different cultures (Asian Cinema, Bollywood, etc...) than albums.

There's also music videos, advertisements, and youtube videos. Those all count as motion pictures

I would still say albums. Music has been being written for centuries by cultures all over the world. A crapload of that music has been recorded plus the stuff since the people began recording music. Motion pictures haven't been around long enough to surpass that.

Think of it this way, most major motion pictures have soundtracks plus there are numerous albums not associated with movies, so my bet is with albums
