Why aren't ZW and ZZ an option?

I've got two X chromosomes. And whenever I get mad about it, I put full blame on my dad, cause moms can only contribute Xs.

I'm starting to think something is amiss...I mean, first you ask (discretely) how old we are and now you're asking our gender (discretely)? Shame on you, Paul.

Clever poll. I think it is a neat one.
And Tymaporer, your post remind me of one of my favorite Ed, Edd, and Eddy lines:
Eddy: Where did you come from?
Ed: Blame my parents, Eddy.

I went to a pub where the doors for the toilets were marked XY and XX. I think Mark Watson was talking about the same pub the other week on TV. "I didn't know you needed to have a biology gcse to use the toilet!"

XY aka Male and I have never taken a biology gcse.

Seriously though how many people don't know that two X chromosomes means female?

*Shrug*
Such knowledge is obvious to you, where in the same vein knowledge like Homo sapien Evolution is common knowledge to me.

I am a double X.
Hmm...does this have anything to do with the gender symbol removal on forums?

Wait... When did that happen?

This poll is prejudiced against people with Klinefelter's Syndrome, XYY Syndrome, Triple-X Syndrome, and Turner Syndrome! I demand just compensation! Even though I don't have any of those.

double x.
and just so people can make sense of this, i am indeed female.
Fri Sep 14, 2007 2:31 am
xx...definitely female.

Not surprisingly XXs like me are the most common here

We rule the world...er...PPT
![Evil or Very Mad ](./images/smilies/icon_evil.gif)
Out of interest, why isn't there an option for "other" to include people with Klinefelter's, Turner's or other rare syndromes (ie XXY, XO etc)

I don't like 'other' options. As for Klinefelter's, Turner's or other rare syndromes, this is simply 'Are you a boy or girl?' disguised in fancy biology wording. If I just had just asked 'boy or girl?' I wouldn't have included an option for transsexuals, or any other gender deformity for that poll either.
