Sweet or salty?

Sat Sep 15, 2007 11:39 pm

For me, definitely salty. Whenever we go to a smoothie shop or bakery, I find myself wanting real food instead. I once made a solemn oath to binge on sugar (let's just say I fully appreciate how awesome finger puppets can be), and I still couldn't get through three doughnuts.

Swee, but then I usually crave something salty.

Neither really... I don't like sweet too much, plus I have to watch out for diabetes and the like. I am a very huge not-fan of salty, plus I basically cut out most salts thanks to high blood pressure.

I'd go with sweet if I had to choose one.

...I still couldn't get through three doughnuts.

A few weeks ago, I brought doughnuts to a meeting. Since no one really had any, I had to take them back home with me. I had three that day. That was more than I had in the... about 6-7 months prior to that day. I steal feel sick from it...

I like this poll topic.

Salt usually, what I do eat (One meal a day now) is often sprinkled liberally in Salt, although I do get the ubiquitous Chocolate cravings now and then.

I shall note that it is possible for me to eat a bag of Jam Doughnuts (10) by myself without any obvious effects.
Like I say, it is rare though.

Definitely sweet for me! I can easily sit and eat an entire pint of Ben and Jerry's ice cream or an entire package of cookies. I've been really good at cutting down on the sweets though because they are making me fat.

Mmm, sweet things. Sometimes I get a craving for something salty, but usually it's just something sweet. It's a bit ridiculous how much money I end up spending on chocolate...

Both, equal measures- depends how I feel. Usually whatever's not instantly available...

I'd have to say salty. I don't enjoy sweet things that much. Doughnuts, cakes, candies, and all that jazz just don't do it for me. I'm much more of a potato chip girl.

Most of the time - salty.
But it's pretty close.

I once spent a tenner on penny chews.

My vomit was quite pretty, mind you.

Sweet, for the most part. It can't be too sweet, though. And I don't like too salty things.

Heh. One of my friends can use one of those mini-packets of salt on her lunch; and I use only about half, if any at all.

I'll take something with a nice chunk of meat in it. :D
As for snacks, I'll go salty most of the time, and sweet here and there.

I tend toward salty, but umami generally beats them both.
