I'm Leaving On A Jet Plane...

Mon Jul 26, 2004 2:54 am

...I don't know when I'll be back again.

Hehe, ok, so I do know when I'll be back again. :P

Anyway, on Tuesday I'm flying down to Florida to hang out with family and have some fun in the sun. I'll still have some online capabilites as far as I know so I won't be totally gone. Anyway, does anyone have any suggestions for exciting things to do in the Ft Lauderdale or Naples areas? (Yes, I do know they are on opposite sides of Florida but I'll be in each of them for a few days)

I don't really know what stuff we're gonna do down there, the only thing I'm looking forward to is going to the Miami Dolphins training camp. :P

I have no idea what you would do there. I've never been to Ft. Lauderdale or Naples, so I wouldn't know. I'd expect you to spend some time at a pool or a beach, though.

Have fun! Adios, señor. :P

And how come you don't visit your family in Massachusetts? *evil stare*

Yep. Stay inside and avoid the horrible climate of Florida- burning liquid air.
(From what Tharkun tells me).

Prepare to either spend a lot of time indoors (with AC) or swimming, unless you want to be baked in the insufferable heat. As for places to visit, South Beach is always nice. ;)

You could also try snorkling/diving in the FL Keys. And if you like fishing, try the Everglades. You might get lucky (or unlucky) enough to hook an alligator.

For those of you saying to prepare for the heat, I know what it feels like. I've been to Florida many many many times before. Last year was the first year that I can remember not going. Also, the heat isnt majorly bad, not much worse than PA (where I live) half of the time.

Have a great time Frankie. I'll miss you *glomp*

Go snorkling and pet a shark. :D

...And not for a month. :P

Well, I don't know much about the places you'll be going (alas, I've only been to Miami), but either way, I hope you have a good time there! Have some fun at training camp, get online, all that fun stuff.

Well, I moved to Florida a little while ago from Massachusetts. Frankly, I can't stand Miami's summer climate (the temperature doesn't break 90 F that often in MA, and there's little to no humidity up there as well). Maybe you're just more heat-resistant than me.
