New computer!...and other news.

So on new years eve my beloved computer bit the dust. Luckily my boyfriend gave me his old laptop...which turned out to be a drain on my mental wellbeing because it was a piece. It finally died too (long story that began long before I had it). I was trapped on my moms laptop which is old and operates using *shudder* AOL.
So this Friday my new, bright yellow, dell laptop came in the mail! Its nice to have a computer again. Though I'm still getting used to Vista. Luckily all my old programs are compatible with it, so no worries. We're going to turn my old hard drive into an external one since its still functional (it was the motherboard that fried) so I'll have my music and photos back soon. yay!
Also I designed my engagement ring! We're having an amazing jeweler in St. Louis make it for us for a fantastic price. Its based off a ring I saw at Zales, but they one being made for me is much higher quality. So I'm pretty excited!
And in a last bit of news, I got a volunteer job at the Animal Protective Association of Missouri (APAMO.org for more info). I'm there about 15 hours a week and I love it. Yay for helping animals...even if I dont get paid for it.

Ducky, things sound like they're going so well for you! I'm hoping for a new computer some time in the future, as mine doesn't like to run multiple applications at once - Surfing the internets and listening to iTunes at the same time just doesn't work, and it makes me angry. I'm looking at Macs though 'cos I hate Microsoft.
Do you have a picture of the engagement ring you're getting? I'm so excited for you!

Yellow? They make computers in that now? Interesting...you'd be able to tell it's yours no matter what though!
Coll stuff about designing your own engagement ring (saves lots of time that would normally be for arguing!) and helping cute critters!

Congrats on the New computer!
Mine is due next couple of days. Where I a cat I'd rub myself against the box and purr.

I know May. Its almost scary. Usually life just gives me the finger.
And my laptop's a dell. Both Dell and HP make cool colours right now. Sadly, the dell didnt come in orange lol. But I do like the yellow.

Niiice. Dell laptop AND yellow! Way too cool.
And great to hear you got the volunteer job!! Working with animals... well there's not much I can say that most don't already feel themselves about it.
