I'm out.

Fri Jan 23, 2009 6:06 am

This is much harder than I thought it would be.

I've cared about this place for a very long time, and it gets very hard to leave. I bit my nails for weeks in 2003, hoping like crazy that I'd be made moderator. I did the same in 2006, though with much fewer nerves. I've always loved working with PPTers to make the site a more fun place to visit. I've had genuine fun outlining--outlining--plans for the forums and site.

But knowing the current situation on PPT, I can no longer proudly attach my name to this site. For reasons alluded to by Rach, Ammer, May, and Fidds in their leaving posts, I'm too frustrated to continue volunteering my time here. I've tried my hardest to compromise, reconcile, and be flexible, but certain things are too much. (Yeah, wasn't bluffing.)

I've made some great friends here, and I was just getting to know some people who I know would've been good buddies under different circumstances. I harbor no ill will toward any PPT member--you've been an amazing group of people to chat with, write articles for, and help and be helped by for the past 5 1/2 years. PPT as it was will always hold a special place in my heart. For Papa Smurf's sake, there was a time when my own mother called me Pudding. Moonie introduced me to her fiance as Pudding. This site has become entwined in my real life in a really pleasant way. I can't be here anymore, though.

I'm getting started on another online project, but I'll probably be around the IDB occasionally for Neopets talk, and May's forum for some WW fun. You are always welcome to talk to me on AIM (PuddingofEvil) or shoot me an email sometime (notatthedinnertable@gmail.com). I don't bite; I'm just a bit shy about being the one to start a conversation sometimes. I wish I'd taken the initiative to talk to more of you while I was around--I never once regretted it when I did.

I cannot believe I'm crying. Lame, Pudding Christine, lame.

Hope all goes well in your personal life. Sigh it is aways sad to see someone leave. You have reminded me of a song Bon Jovi - Never Say Goodbye

I got bunches of PMs over this--dudes, I'm not dead. Seriously. I miss y'all, but this place does not welcome me anymore. Go here if you miss me: the awesomest WW forum online

It's all going quite lovely, actually. I've got loads more free time than I did last semester. I just disapprove of a pattern of decision-making on the part of the administration.

You taught me so much, and your friendship always meant a lot to me. You were one of those people I always looked up to, and wanted to be like, one that I wished I knew better. I will miss you Pudding, you were a great co-admin and it makes me so sad to see you go. But I know that you will do good in whatever direction you go, just make sure you let us know so we can support you too.
