Some of you know about my marine obcession. Well the news today showed pictures of 2 new marine animals that were discovered in the atlantic in an underwater mountain ranger about 2 miles deep. They are a new species of squid and a new fish they are calling the "snake fish".
I thought it was really cool and worth shareing. It just proves theres so much about the ocean that we dont know about.

Well I guess that's interesting to someone interested in marine biology, but aren't there TONS of species in the ocean that we have never even seen?

theres a very small percent of the ocean that has been discovered. I just thought this was amazing because I love marine biology. I'm waiting for the day more new deep ocean fish are discovered. they're my favorite.

I believe there's also only a small percent of the forests discovered too.
I used to be into marine biology. Then we got RoadRunner cable internet. XD

This fish....Can you eat it? And if so is it good in bread crumbs?

That is soo cool! Its neat to see newly discovered animals & you're right there are so many out there that we haven't yet discovered!

Is there a picture of it somewhere? I am into animals of all kinds, like to see new... If there isn't a picture, I'm just going to sit here and imagine it in my head. Hope that the snake fish doesn't poison my mind. Erm...

the animal kingdom amazes me. I love animals of all kinds, even the creepy ones lol. i just have an odd obcession with the abyssal fish (the deep ocean fish that are newly discovered and live in complete darkness. there lantern fish in finding nemo is one). they're so ugly that they're cool!

*apparently* we know more about space than we do the ocean.
and frankly if giant squid are but mid level predetors down there i dont want to know what else is down there.

ooooh I do! *excited partly evil grin*
they're so ugly and weird looking...but i think they're positively interesting. I did my senior project on them for environmental science. theres so little know, I cant wait until the day we discover more. I wish I was better at science so I could be a deep ocean marine biologist. I guess I'm stuck being another discovery/science channel viewer.

Yeah, it's something like that. I've heard rants about why waste money going to outer space when we still have most of the ocean and rainforests to discover.

[joke] I know! When the giant underwater....man eating fish....that evolved legs and out of water lungs really, really quickly that we had never saw even though there are millions of them comes to eat us we can all flee to somewhere else in space..xD [/joke]
