Athens 2004 Olympics

Tue Aug 10, 2004 5:32 am

It's the 10th of August for me so there are only 3 days left to the Olympics. I thought some discussion might be nice, since there's a slight hype about it. I'm not a sporty person but I'm really looking forward to it as well, especially the gymnastics. I love watching the gymnastics 'cause I admire the strength and flexibility. What do you like watching? I'm also waiting to watch the opening and ending ceremony. This is the second Olympics I'm actually watching and I really liked last time's. Before 2000 I was seven and didn't know much about Olympics. :P

I thought that it was Africa, Asia, Europe, North America and South America, with Oceania being included as part of Asia at the time of making. Please correct me if I'm mistaken. I learned those were the five continents some years ago. :P

quicksilvery1pore - I personally like to watch the gymastics because I admire how flexibility is combined with strength. I especially like what I call the "ribbon gymnastics" but am told are "Rhythmic Gymnastics" because to me, it looks like a dance. I've always been attracted to anything that looks graceful, and it just looks pretty in my eyes.

Nope, according to a newspaper, it is the ones I mentioned.

I think it was...
the rings itself represent the 5 areas that Lillie covered.
But the 6 colors on the flag represents the description that twitchy gave (including antarctica)

... i'm not entirely sure on that either though...

:P

why would a newspaper get their facts wrong?

It's not impossible for a newspaper to have incorrect facts. There is this concept called "human error".
