Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

What kind of electives are you into. Be specific after what type of class you're into.
For 9th grade(the first REAL year for electives for me), I'm taking "Digital Video Arts, Home Improvement, and Intro to Business." A fairly good mix.

I take a lot of art and language electives. I took Spanish, Ceramics, Drawing, and Theatre in Middle and High School. I've taken Photography for the last two semesters and I am taking Spanish and possibly Japanese in the future.

Well, I like art, but my current school doesn't have it as an elective. I'm taking music this year, which is the only art-related elective the school has. It's a school for math & science, so I haven't complained.

Because our utterly stupid school board changed up grad requirements starting with the grads of 2007 (my year), I can only take one this year. Band.
Otherwise I would've added Infotech. Uuuuugh. >_>

Thats so cool, I wish my school offered photography.
Well.. Im in grade 12 this year and since I didn't fail any classes all the classes im taking are electives except for English because we are required to have 4 english credits.
So that means that my electives are Gr.11 Chemistry, Gr.11 Biology, Spanish, Gym, and Data Management but Im thinking of switching to Gr.11 Math since I only got a 58 in it last year and I'd rather have a better grade. I was going to only have 1 spare and take art, but I've had art every semester since I got to this school and Im kinda bored with it. Great, IM gonna be surrounded by grade 11 & 10s.
But in previous years:
9 - Intigrated Tech (Thats 1 semester divided into Business, Construction, Communication and Programming), Gym
10 - Grade 10 intro. Art (didnt take it in Grade 9), Grade 10 Art, and Drama
11 - World History, Grade 11 Art, Canadian Law, Intro. Anthro, psych and soc, Parenting, Fashion and Creative Expressions
Oh, and Yoshi, that really sucks how you only get 1 elective. Even in grade 9 we got two, and at the school im now at grade 9s got 3.[/quote]

I'm in college, so we have a lot of fancy electives. I took Photography I during the Fall 2003 Semester and then Digital Imaging I during the Spring Semester. I enjoyed Photography I more. We got to work in the darkroom, etc. It was wonderful.

After all the academic requirements at my school (math, English, science, language, history) we only get one elective (actually, this year, we're not supposed to get any, as we're supposed to have PE, but I'm not taking it).
So, I'm doing orchestra. I play violin - quite badly, it's true - but I love the class. It's a nice break from the pressures of the rest of the day.
If I had another choice, I might go with journalism also, but right now, I just do that outside of school.

I get two electives...I'm taking Art and Computer Science.

I have 5 electives (one semester each, most of them, anyway), so I chose art, computer keyboarding, spanish/latin, and band (full year). Other choices are life skills, technology education, french/german, and study hall. I get a free study hall because of my classes, so I don't have a use for another.

Art and tech. I used to have music, but not anymore.

I like languages. I'm going to take Spanish and Japanese this year. My school doesn't offer a lot of good electives though.

I've done French, Japanese, Geography, History, and Classics as 'elective' subjects.

I like both art, and technology. In Tech, you can learn about how to put together CPUs and stuff. I can't believe my Grade 4 teacher last year actually tought us that.
LOL, I am a techno geek. I'm guessing he is, also. Technology isn't really tought in Elementary, but luckily, all of my prior teachers were tech-geeks. Phew. I'm like the only kid in ELementary that's a computer-nerd. All the other people like sports and crap. I'm not that type or person.
Me, my brother and my brother's friend all like art. Art is like about skill and it's fun to see eachother's drawings. I like to draw Pokemon and alot of people from shows I watch.
But, learning this in school? I don't feel right when they de-grade us in art. I mean, in G4 last year, we were reduced to painting with sticks and crap. I mean, I'm not stupid. I don't even know why there is a difference in school art. It's not fair, I should be able to learn how to be drawing BETTER faces now.....

*rocks back and forth* Band. Band. Band. Band. Band. *cough* Yea thats my life and what takes up a loooot of my time. I love band. Band loves me, it was love at first site
(you do know its a joke right?...) Anyway I'm getting a class change because I hate PE and I'm going to go into Tech Theatre(or whatever its called >_<).

This year I get Advanced Drama 8, and Spanish I also, because I get an exempt from P.E. because I'm a figure skater, and I'm testing out of Health.
