Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

hey, i wasnt sure where to put this, so i plonked it here. (if its the wrong place, mods, feel free to move it!)
anyway, does anyone here like sewing? i have always liked sewing when i was at my grans for the holidays, and recently i've tried making clothes. i made my friend a GORGEOUS dress when she dressed up as poison ivy, and i'm almost finished making a little red riding hood costume.
So yeah, has anyone else made anything, or like making stuff like that?

I used to quilt when I was little (learned how in Girl Scouts) but I don't actually sew anymore. I was a very messy quilter....cloth and string everywhere. So my mom kinda encouraged me to take up another needle hobby and bought me a beginner's cross stitch kit.
I've been addicted to cross stitch ever since.
I'm so pathetic sometimes....I'd sit with the laptop in my lap getting a few more stitches in between pageloads.
I'd like to start sewing again....but I have a lot of stitching projects to finish first.

I used to be good at cross stitching. I loved it. Not so much now, I'm terrible at sewing.

It's too difficult for me.

My old school teacher used to love sewing and all arty things so I'm good at hand sewing but when it comes to actually using a sewing machine I'm not so good. I made a top and a pair of trousers but it took so long I don't think I'll be starting another piece of clothing any time soon.
My friend was also making trousers and ended up with two right legs. I have no idea how that happened. At least she thought it was funny

I'm rubbish at sewing, although I do like the odd cross stitch.

I like sewing. I find it very relaxing. I prefer to sew by hand, I get too frustrated when using a sewing machine.

Ever buy Marjen clothing, handbags, or jewelry? No, of course not
. They aren't in stores yet. Soon to be on ebay yet though.
Me and my friend sew for it. I'm the Jen in Marjen.

Well...
*blinks*
My sewing reminds me of a cow trying to do calligraphy.
It's not so good.
*sighs*
It really bothers me too, I just get so frustrated when I do it... I can do tiny little marks on paper? But sewing? Apparently thats a bit too much for my poor brain. Feh.
I used to cross stitch... but I personally don't have the patience for it.

I'm not good at it, but in art class last year we made puppets and I did Number Six. I forgot to make the pants big enough though, so his torso is big and the legs are really skinny. It's sort of funny looking.

I can sew, sort of n_n;;. I used to be ok but now my skills have diminished somewhat.

I have always wanted to learn how to sew so I could make clothes, because nothing in stores suits my likes. I can shop for hours and find one shirt I like. I used to do those patterns where the pattern is on the fabric and you just sew it.. don't know what its called.
But I didn't take a course for it in highschool, so now I have no idea how I'm supposed to learn to do it... Experience I suppose. Maybe I'll start making barbie clothes or something.
