This is a crime!

Ok, every day this happens to someone, and it is legal.

A man waits for someone to come by him. Then he says "I have something to sale, and I want you to listen to what I have to say.

Then the person says "Listen you are interrupting me. I am busy doing something else and I don't care what you have to sale.

Then the man says "I will be heard! You may not buy what I have, but I will be heard.

Then he ties the person down and screams his sales pitch in their ear. When he is done he superglues his business card to the front of their shirt, and it is almost impossible to remove it.

Is this legal?

Yes!

This happens to me almost every day. Not in a real street, but online.
Banners appear. I don't click them. Then popups appear and I don't click them. So finally they stick me with some spyware, which I have a hard time getting rid of sometimes.

It is a CRIME I tell you!

unfortunetly it is entirely impossible to enforce due to the nature of the internet, and various stupiditys with law.
you remove a banner, someone throws up stink because its agiainst the constitution (freedom of speach and all that) doesnt matter if they or you live in america, solong as one person onvolved in the site does, its laws apply.

THAT is reason two, as to why democracy deosnt work, idiots ill always find loopholes to exploit that filters through to the criminals.

Banners and pop-ups are all types of advertisements, and though aggressive and annoying, they keep many websites free, which is really what is most important to me. With the right kind of software and browser, they seldom irk you.

Exactly, I'm sure 99.9% of internet users close any unwanted pop-up windows the moment they appear without even waiting to see what they are about.
