Thu Sep 23, 2004 1:55 pm

I am at a new school this year. I switched during the middle of the year so its a but diffucult. Its a christian school but there is no uniforms. There is some problems though. I took French one and there is only spanish here so I have to teach myself french! And I never had bible study before and I am a bit behind. And they learned the history last year that I was supposed to learn this year. They are learning this year what I learned last year.

Help?

Ah, I go to a Catholic School as well. And I don't really understand your problem, they learnt History last year (which you didn't learn) and now this year their learning History which you have already learnt?

How far ahead are they in Spanish...can't you just take Spanish? As for history...be thankful you'll have an easy year, and do your best to catch yourself up on what they did last year.

If you have proof that you did their history work last year then couldn't you ask the teacher if you could do the work they did last year during your history lesson?

I go to a Catholic School but I don't think I've ever done actual Bible studies. Mind you, I do know a bit about the Bible but that's because of the constant references made by some teachers.

I also go to a Catholic High School. What are you studying in History? And I do Spanish, so I could help you with anything you have trouble with.

My SOS course includes Bible, so if you need any help on a certain verse or quesiton, just PM me. What version (King James, New King James, living translation...ect...) do they want some of your verses in?

They are on year two spanish, too far for me to catch up.

Ok. Let me clear up the history thing.

Last year they learned the civil war to present and I learned early men to revolutionary war.

They aren't too far ahead for you to catch up. In my school, we do Spanish, French and if we can get the teachers for 2 years, Italian and German. Now, for any second langage you pick above the one you have to take already, you must learn S1 and S2 stuff in S3 and S3&S4 stuff in S4. So if they are doing Year 2 Spanish, it doesn't matter. Ask for every single sheet, bit of information, scrap of paper that could help you and STUDY!!! Also, is it possible for you to get your French Degree through a local Collage or University?

I've been through Christian schools and dont worry, bible stuff is damn easy to pick up, it was made to appeal to the opressed masses so alot of it is simple stuff to get the meanings. If you are in a quote word for word kinda school it'll be difficult though.

Hmm...unless they moved quickly, you probably could catch up in Spanish. Half my Spanish II class had a really lousy teacher for Spanish I and knew virtually nothing, but they could keep up after a bit...
