Anything and everything goes in here... within reason.

Do you participate in days of silence? They're usually just selected days where you carry around a piece of paper that says you're not speaking that day because you're protesting something. I've done two for the oppression that homo/bisexuals face, one for people killed in drunk driving accidents, and a pro-life on today.
Have you ever done any?
Warning: This is a poll to state if you HAVE OR HAVE NOT done a day of silence. Anybody who starts getting prissy over the purposes for those days will be very sorry they said anything. This isn't a debate, just a poll.

No... infact, I never heard of them untill now.

I have never heard of this 'Day of Silence' you speak of. I would love to participate it but I cannot even keep quiet for 5 minutes, 24 hours would be very difficult for me.

I've never heard of such a thing before.
So no, I haven't participated in one.

I've also never heard of it, but it seems very interesting. Something I'd do (but something my friends wouldn't cause they're all such news-uninformed people and they'd call me crazy, shame).

I've never heard of it, however, I'm not sure if I would want to though.

Nope, never heard of it, and I don't really want to do it.
I talk to much.

I've never heard of it too. But then, I think protesting isn't protesting if you don't talk.

I did part of a Day of Silence last year for the GLBT community. The rest of the day I spent explaining to others at school why people were being silent, and sort of acting as a go-between, which I felt was more important.
A lot of people went silent just for one class so they wouldn't have to deal with the teacher, though, which sort of ticked me off. It's not a thing to do unless you believe in the principles.
Anyhow, that's the only Day of Silence that I've ever heard of, or that's been around my school. I think it's particularly good for this issue, as it mirrors the way those with different sexual preferences, have to keep silent, but frankly, I don't think that it's the most effective form of protest in general. I prefer doing more active things, like campaigning.

Same for me. However...24 hours would be hard for me.

The problem for me would be keeping quiet.

Wow, I've never heard about a 'Day of Silence' before until I read this...
But I don't think it'd be possible for me, I'm always running off my mouth at something

Never heard of this day of silence thingy before either. I couldn't do it. Even when I'm online and no one's around I talk. Like sometimes when I type "Chu" over IM I say it because it sounds cute.
(and when I typed it in this post I said it)

I would very much like to do one someday, but the times there's been days of silence for things I care about, I only hear about it afterwards.
