I need your opinion...

I made two very similar avvie/banner sets, and I need to know which looks better:

Also, do you have any other opinions on/improvements for them?

[Side Note] - I know they aren't the greatest, but keep in mind that I only have MS Paint. I don't get PSP (9, by the way) until Christmas.

I'd go with Number 1. It's much lighter.

Thanks for your input so far!!! I think I may go with #1 (my first intention), but I want to wait and see if anyone else has a preference.

Oooooo! Really really spiffy! I have to go with #1, the scanlines in #2 are kinda bleh.

I'd go with set 1. If the scanlines on set 2 were lighter and blended via layering I'd prefer that one though however using MS Paint I don't think you have that option Anyways, I'm very impressed with both the sets nonetheless!

Well, okay then! I think I see your point. I like #1 anyways, and yeah I made my own little scanlines. I don't feel like blending them pixel by pixel, so I'm going with #1!!! Thank you all for the comments.
Only 2 more month's till Christmas... 2 months can seem so far away, but then again, so close... and I NEED PSP NOW OR I SHALL EXPLODE!!! O_O

Set #1 as set #2 doesn't look as good as set #1 in my opinion. (I not saying set #2 is bad as that is far the from the truth. Set #2 is very good but I just feel set #1 is better than set #2.

Either way, nice job for Paint. They are amazing for such a limited program!

I prefer set #1. I think that if you lowered the opacity of the second one though, it would look pretty good.

Have you tried downloading a trial of PSP?
