I got my ears pierced for my ninth birthday when I was in third grade. It was a long time ago, so I don't really remember much about early infections and stuff. I don't wear earings often now...just enough so the holes don't close up. The piercings are a bit uneven, which bugs me. I considered geting second holes to even it all out on my 18th birthday, but I chickened out. Maybe I'll do that for my 21st birthday (which happens to be in less than a month)...we'll see. As for dealing with irritation from the earings, a little NeoSporin on the posts works wonders.
