Go into your library on iTunes, and remove a song from there. Update your iPod mini, and the song is also removed from the iPod. I'm pretty sure that's what I did anyway. Took me forever to figure it out.

Thats how it works for me....
It also took me quite a while to figure it out... And Itunes would never open when I plugged in my ipod...

Looks like the problem is already solved, but I thought it would be worth mentioning that http://www.ipodlounge.com is a site that has helped me solve all my ipod related problems, it's really helpful.

Thanks everyone! The next time I update my iPod, I'll delete certain songs.

Yeah. I know we'll be getting a new computer in a few months and I'll have to make sure I burn all my songs to a disk before we get rid of this one. Otherwise it's bye-bye music.

I dont know if it would be worth it for you (depends how many songs you have) but there is a way to transfer your music from you ipod to a computer using some freeware. If you think your interested check out http://www.ipodlounge.com/articles_more ... 90_0_8_0_M and you can save all those cds.

Oooh, that's going to be very useful. I'm getting a new computer in a couple of weeks, and I'll also need to do that. Thanks!

Gone, forever.
