I'm in middle school, and I can't stand the fact that 3/4 of the girls in my grade are all influenced by the "popular" people and think that they have to dress and act like them in order to be "in". I personally don't believe in this, and neither do my two best friends. The only thing is that if you're not popular, people label you as ugly or nerdy. There's no inbetween. I can't believe how many people go out and buy things they don't even like, just so they won't be made fun of. A lot of people at my school judge you by the way you look, and don't even get to know you first before spreading rumors. My best friend and I hung out a lot last year, and someone told us that someone was spreading a rumor about us being "more than friends", if you know what I mean. I got really, really mad over that and I couldn't believe someone would spread around something so hurtful. I usually don't care if someone says I'm ugly or anything like that, considering I'm not the most gorgeous person around, but getting treated some kind of slimy creature just because your shoes aren't the same exact shade of blue as your shirt is a bit ridicoulous. I just wish everyone would actually be judged by the way you act and your personality, NOT the way you dress. D:
