I'm going to make this very short seeing as I am a teacher and don't really want to start arguing about my job. I come here to get away from my job
Anyway, my two thoughts. First, if you are having a problem with your teacher, I would go to the teacher first. Take the initiative to fix the problem yourself first. Classes these days are overcrowded, schools and teachers don't have the supplies they need, and there are a lot of other things that students don't take into consideration.
Let's take something that you mentioned in your post and see what you could have done differently in the situation. You said that another student in the class "attacked you". Now, I wasn't there, so I obviously don't know what happened. Something you could have done is to wait and talk to the teacher after class, tell her what exactly happened, say that you would like your seat moved away from this person for the time being (perhaps permanently), and then ask for a pass to your next class.
The only other thing I'm going to say right now is that while you may not appreciate language arts right now, it is one of the most important classes you will ever take. Communication is something that is used in every day life, no matter what your profession. I personally find it amazing that about half of adult Americans (if not more) cannot read a newspaper. I know that I wouldn't want to be part of that statistic.
