Eee, only one day left for the first phase. I want to get into the next phase, if only so I can get myself a cryptex. But as I said before, the updates are random, so there's no chance that I'll be one of the first 10k to solve it... I'm a high school student from 8:30-4:10, which is the time period when they release the puzzles. Grr.

Though winning, no matter how infinitely small the chances are that I would, seems very nice, as you get many shiny expensive prizes worth $128,170.54 total. 8)

Does anyone have ANY idea what the last one is

EDIT: ahem... heheh... never mind... that was dead easy... °shyly looking very dumb°

EDIT2: say, if people from the rest of the world can't enter, would it be illegal to have your winnings sent to someone in Britain? (hint hint) and then say... let it be sent over to their own adress? (against payment, naturally)

the cryptex is also my goal, but it doesn't show in the prizes?

It's talked about in the rules:

Quote:
blahblahblahboringstuff...

he/she shall be deemed a "Finalist" only if he/she was among the first 10,000 participants to submit a Puzzle Completion Form. All Finalists will be notified and will receive a Finalist Prize as described below.

Final Phase. Finalists will be mailed via U.S. postal service, for scheduled delivery by May 18, 2006, a limited edition Cryptex replica and a screenshot of 4 codes (the "Finalist Prize"). One of the included codes will open the Cryptex. Inside will be a scroll with instructions on how to access the Final Puzzle Challenge online.

Yay! I'm glad the last Observation was quick and easy. :)

BTW, it doesn't update randomly. If you're obsessive like me and read the rules, it updates at 1pm each day.

well, that indeed was easy, but 1pm?

When GMT is 1, it's 3 over here, and it didn't show anything, it must've updated between eight and half past eight for me somewhere...

Either way, it's done :D

Just entered my home adress, so there's a no win, but it was fun. Anyone know wheter they're going to continue with something like this?

He means 1 PM Eastern time. That would be 6 in GMT (I think).

I finished at about 4:45 EST. Anyone think I have a chance of winning?

I hope so for you, but frankly, I think there's been millions of people just waiting for the last game

Okay, see, that would explain it. I automatically assume something's random if I'm never around to catch it. :P

(Which means I didn't get in for the final phase- though I completed the thing in five minutes or whatever, I started at maybe 7 PM :/ )

Scott - what time did you finish the last puzzle?
I really would like the cryptex, but I didn't get mine done 'til after seven, because I had an S.G.A. party... :(

EDIT: Just got the e-mail - no cryptex for me  All that hard work for nothing...

I was at school when it came out, and this stupid smurfette in the library wouldn't let me get on the computer because I hadn't gotten a pass in the morning. Oh well. Congrats ScottNak! Good luck on the final puzzles!

Thankies. I just finished the final challenge. No idea exactly how long it took, but it was definitely no walk in the park... I wont say anything after the fact, just because... but haha. Whoo. Got me workin quickly and very frustratingly.
